Higher Dux Details

Higher Dux is our detached 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage.  It is a crescent shaped cottage all on one level apart from 2 steps down to the second bedroom (it used to be a piggery). Completely redecorated in June 2023. Totally secure and dog friendly (dogs allowed everywhere and on all furniture, please use throws provided)

Perfectly positioned for families, walkers and cyclists, we are also situated on The National Cycle Network Route 3 (Ruby Way). There are 2 secure,  dog friendly gardens, with furniture and BBQ.

You will easily be able to prepare a full evening meal or a Sunday roast in this incredibly well equipped kitchen. You will find a fridge (with freezer compartment), dishwasher, oven & hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a Washing Machine available for stays of 4 nights or over.

Recharge your batteries in the king size bed with its en-suite shower room. Our second bedroom (at the opposite end of the cottage) can be a twin or super king and also has an en-suite bathroom (no shower). *There are 2 steps down to the twin bedroom.

Relax and chill on the large, comfy corner sofa and watch Netflix on our smart TV. We also have terrestrial channels as we realise not everyone uses smart TV's. To enable you to stream those movies, we now have Super Fast WIFI running at 200mbs.

What better way to end the day than with an awesome BBQ, overlooking the fields, surrounded by peace and quiet. If you are lucky, you may even spot our pair of resident barn owls as they go out over the fields for their early evening hunt. It is a truly memorable sight.
